17.50แกนนำนปช.แถลงให้ประธานวุฒิฯประสานแจ้งรัฐบาลถอนกำลังทหารก่อน แล้วนปช.จึงจะเจรจากับรัฐบาล ขณะที่ก่อนหน้านี้รัฐบาลตั้งเงื่อนไขให้ยุติชุมนุมก่อนแล้วจึงจะเจรจา

16.40 องค์กรนิรโทษสากล(สหรัฐฯ)ออกแถลงการณ์ให้ทหารไทยหยุดยิงประชาชนทันที โดยอ้างว่าจากหลักฐานที่ปรากฏชัดจำนวนมากว่าทหารได้ฆ่าประชาชนที่ปราศจากอาวุธ "สิ่งนี้เป็นการละเมิดหลักสิทธิมนุษยชน" "เป็นเรื่องยอมรับไม่ได้ภายใต้กฏหมายระหว่างประเทศที่อนุญาตให้การใช้อาวุธปืนเป็นมาตรการสุดท้าย" (อ่านเพิ่ม)

16.20 สาทิตย์ วงศ์หนองเตย แถลงในนามศอฉ.ว่า อภิสิทธิ์ชี้แจงประธานวุฒิสภาจุดยืนของรัฐบาลจะเจรจาก็ต่อเมื่อนปช.ยุติการชุมนุมก่อน และยุติการก่อการร้าย

17.50 UDD leaders declared and granted the senator president to co-ordinate with the government to retreat the army forces. UDD then would have the negotiation with the government. On the other hand, the government previously stated that the protest has to be ceased before the negotiation would be taken place.


16.40 Amnesty International (USA) called on the Thai army to stop shooting people by referring to many pieces of evidence that clearly showed that the army murdered unarmed people. “This is a Violation of Human Rights” “is unacceptable under international law that allows the use of gun at the last state”


16.20 Cabinet minister Satit Wonghnongtaey announced on behalf of the Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation that Abhisit indicated the standpoint to the Senator President that the government would negotiate if UDD stop protesting and terrorism.
